First, I need to make note on my triangles I did already – I created a different background for my borders and used the wrong background for the 2 triangles I have done already….I’m going to keep them as my “stand alone mistake” to get my quilt character (and honestly, I have no desire to redo the one triangle). So, I need to purchase my other background before I can do any more triangles.
Today’s blocks is just craziness. I’m TOTALLY dumbfounded that Miss Jane did this block by hand…I am HIGHLY impressed with myself – yes, it’s not perfect, but I’m very happy with the results. The smallest piece was less that 1/4″ square!!! And I insanely used paper-piecing-otherwise I would have just done a simple star like Brenda (the lady who did all the research on this quilt) suggested without the ohio star inside of the 5 point star.
